Tango holiday in France

NOGANETS 15 - 21 August

Learn and dance tango in a unique place in the Midi-Pyrenees! Noganets is an old wine- and silk farm in Puygaillard de Quercy in the South of France, which is now being used as a work and meeting place for artists of different disciplines. The classes and dance evenings will be in the magnificent dance studio of Noganets. The spacious hall with wooden floor and big opening windows is a beautiful place to practice and dance tango in the summer season.

Surroundings

The farm is located in the Tarn et Garonne and has a big park with old trees that offer nice shaded spots.

The region offers a quiet, hilly landscape with fields, forests and rock formations. There are beautiful villages to visit, and almost every day you’ll be able to find a market with local products. The area offers plenty of possibilities for walking, swimming, canoeing, climbing or bike riding.

Schedule

The tango holiday starts on Sunday 15 August with a workshop late afternoon, followed by diner and the first Milonga in the evening.

From Monday to Friday there will be two workshops for both groups each day, in the morning and afternoon. In between there will be enough free time to explore the area or do whatever else you’d like to do. Wednesday afternoon there will be no workshops, so you’ll be able to undertake a longer excursion that day. Each evening there will be a Milonga.

The tango week ends on Saturday with a final workshop in the morning and a joint lunch.

Workshop levels

The tango holiday is meant for dancers with a minimum of one completed tango course. There will be two groups. The advanced group is for dancers with a maximum of 5 years of lessons and dancing.

Accommodation, meals and prices

Noganets has different possibilities for accommodation: camping with your own tent or camper, a sleeping hall with shielded, romantic spots, a caravan and double rooms. See the list below for prices and availability. De prices are per person and include accommodation, all meals, the lessons and the Milongas/Salons in the evening. Each day there will be breakfast, lunch, diner and two tea/coffee breaks.

We have to receive your payment of the total sum at least five weeks before the start of the tango week. If your subscription is cancelled, no refunds will be made. There are two exceptions to this rule: (1) if you yourself are able find other participants to take your place, or (2) if the week is fully booked and we are able to find other participants to fill the vacant spots. In both cases a refund will be made with a deduction of 50 Euros per person for administrative costs.
